How to use your own domain name for your event website

Eventtia allows the use of your own domain name for your new event website.  

This highlights your brand, helps with your event SEO and delights your attendees with a more personalized experience.

Important: In order to use your own domain name, you need a pro account for your event.

The following steps will help you set up your own domain name for your new event website:

  1. Create a new DNS entry for your domain name with the following values in your domain registrar (Example: Godaddy, NameCheap, Gandi.net, etc.):
    1. Type: CNAME
    2. Hostname: www.yourdomain.com (In the hostname you can use anything you want. Some people use things like registration.yourdomainame.com, event.yourdomainname.com, etc).
    3. Target: domains.eventtia.com
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Send us a quick message to help@eventtia.com telling us about the domain name you just configured and the event website you want it configured for.

If you have an IT department inside your company, most of the times they are the right people to help you out with this task.
